I decided to start a new thread because I wanted to make sure you caught this.
I've been reading about your problems comparing Part D insurance plans.
The first year that I got my Mom signed up I followed the process on the website that Rosie posted but after that I noticed that the drug store Mom & I use offers that service for a couple of months prior to the "deadline" date for changing plans so I just went there and had them do the search. I imagine they go to the same site but it's their "labor" and using their computer. Worked fine for me.
You are correct, you need to list every Rx you are currently using and then they will come up with the cheapest plan for you. At the price they are charging for that Rx you will probably hit the "donut hole" fairly early though. That is a nightmare as I'm sure you are aware. Mom has managed to stay out of it by insisting that generic drugs be used as much as possible, but that doesn't sound possible in your case with that Rx.
Good luck, Dear Friend.

Hi Shirley,
I can't avoid the "donut hole", because another med I take already puts me there, (thought just barely), before I even add the Azilect, and no generics are available for anything I use, so I'm licked before I start.
Love,
Tex
