I am now FEELING more at HOME---NORMAN is visiting me again!!!and I am very P'Od```

Morning drink--1,000 mg VitC--
contains---Thiamin--Riboflavin---Nlacin-folic acid--Panthoreci acid--cALCIUM--PHOSPHORUS-mAGNESIUM--Zinc-(besides the liquid Zinc I take after I eat)Manganese--Cromium-Potassium and Alpha Lipoic Acid?--Quercetin~~~~
Now comes the pills---1 in the am--the other afternoon--

1. Calcium---Iodine--Magnesium--Zinc Chelate--Selenium--Copper--Manganese--Chromium--molybdenum--and potassium~~~

Pill2--]is a strain Identified Bifobacteria Blended with a non-dairy powder(15 BILLION organism per serving) bidobacterium lactis Bi-07---Bi-01 and streptoccus thermophillus-ST-21--

My tummy is rumbleing like the *olden* days---and bloated like I am ready to POP-----

And seems like old times running fast to get to the bathroom--

And what this all has to do with my smell and taste--Ill be a monkeys uncle~~~
I stopped the 2 PILLS---had enuf of YESTERYEARS!!!! and I see her Oct. 4th and she better have some HAPPY news to make me SMILE---

I cannot believe that all this stuff would cause me visits from NORMAN---she KNOWS very well what I went thru and I refuse to go thru that again~~~

I sure find those ingredients an interesting combination of things. I will say that looking at pill #2 sent me running to my medicine cabinet. The items in it are the same as in my probiotic. Maybe she wanted you to take that one after killing off all the little bugs you had. The morning drink and pill #1 are sure heavy in a variety of vitamins. I don't know what that has to do with your sense of smell or taste. I was sure hoping she could give you some answers. My husband has lost his sense of smell but we think the cause is his use of the c-pak breathing machine for sleep apnea. So far he hasn't lost his sense of taste.

Jan-----thats how I feel---whats this got to do with smell/taste--
To this day I still say the 04 hospital stay and surgery (weird Pneumonia) plus the surgeon shoving that tube down my throat--caused these issues~~~~~( have to add--as he couldnt get the tube further down the attending nurse replied * Barbara needs a PEDIATRIC TUBE*---which he then got!!!

As my GI said (upon a visit after that hospital issue) they sure bruised your VOCAL CORDS!!!! But never a positive *YES* thats the cause of my issues~~~

U know I read --in READERS DIGEST--the worst times to have surgery is after the surgeon has just preformed one---which he had done at the other hospital--also it was late in the evening----

So I said to Mr. L-----no surgeries past 3pm in the afternoon ---

I hear you. I had my emergency abdominal surgery, (four years ago), about 1:30 am, on Saturday night, or I guess you could call it Sunday Morning. I wanted to wait until after daybreak, but everyone insisted that it would be all right.

That's what I figured - I could picture the surgeons and the OR staff having to leave the bar just before closing time, after their pagers went off.

I got curious about your anosmia (loss of smell) and did a bit of hunting. The only thing I could see in your pills that has been claimed to help is zinc - and most reports are saying that research was wrong.

The other things that some suggest help is vitamins A and B12, and nasal irrigation (a neti pot or those modern unmedicated nasal sprays), and giving up smoking. Or finding out what caused it and fixing that.

The causes were colds, various infections, early stage Parkinson's or Alzheimers, brain damage, polyps or damage to the nasal passages. Did they put that tube up your nose? You could be right about it causing problems.

I am guessing your doc is giving you a solid bunch of vitamins and probiotics trying to clear up any outstanding infections. And trying the zinc just in case, but no surprise that it isn't working. Maybe you could try vit A and B12?

Did you ever try the nasal spray Zicam? If you did you could make some money out of this as there is a lawsuit about it causing loss of smell. Maybe you could claim to have used it.

No solid answers here, but probably confirms the current pills aren't helping much.

LYN-----what I am finding--with current pills--is that several times I have had to take a PEPCID (works better than Nexium) cus I seem to have attacks of an upset tummy plus BURPING like crazy--

Right now I am totally fed up----

When I saw an ENT doctor---he Xamined me with a tube going down my nostril---than a MRI---
Yes---also had prescribed a nasal spray---which did ZIP~~~~~

Actually--when I had surgery I was already out when the tube was going down but I tend to think it was thru the mouth and down the esophogus---

and I am a totally walking ZINC person---

To be honest I really dont think this issue will ever be resolved/nor a *maybe* reason answer as to COULD BE!!!

So I shall see this WELLNESS DR. --this coming Monday---and time for some *answers* or a point blank---*I dont know*
