ginger root tea

Post by faithberry »

Hi,

Can anyone here tolerate ginger root tea when they are in flare? I mean a small amount of ginger root (1/2 to 1 tsp.) in hot water, not the packaged ones.

Thanks!
Faith

I have some powdered ginger that is pretty mellow and I can tolerate in a tiny amount (maybe a 1/4 tsp per cup of water). Fresh ginger seems to be too spicy, but I can tolerate it with a little coconut milk. It's similar to cutting the heat of a pepper with milk. I just have to watch that I don't overdo the coconut milk or the amount of fat becomes a problem.
