I am deficient in Magnesium and Vitamin C according to the lab. The doctor says that since it is all on a bell curve, that I should be higher in other things such as Zinc and Vitamin D. She wanted to know the numbers for the vitamin D test my internist/endocrinologist gave me.
I really haven't gotten to read the papers she from the test because I was busy taking the dog to the vet and to obedience class.

Are you saying that a deficiency in magnesium and vitamin C, causes high zinc and vitamin D test results, or are you saying that the doctor recommended that you should take more zinc and vitamin D? So what was your 25(OH)D test result, (from your internist)?

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
The latter, Tex. Sorry I wasn't clear.
I called my regular doctor's office yesterday but I can't find the paper where I wrote it. (It will reappear, I hope.) It was in the normal range (which surprised me) but the doctor had wanted me to take 50,000 units in a capsule with soy! The pharmacy screwed up by filling that prescription but they took it back.

Hmmmmmm,
That's interesting that he would want you to take such a big dose, if your test result was in the normal range.
Incidentally, Bio-Tech makes 50,000 IU vitamin D3 capsules, available without a prescription, and they are allergen free. I bought a bottle of 100, a few weeks ago. These are the ones endorsed by Dr. Cannell.
Thanks for the response.
