UPDATE on OMA~~~~~

Oma is awesome-----she is doing great---needs no more PT and in a week or 2 will be going back to work~~~

I was laughing cus when the phone rang --L---picked it up and I hear--*OMA---how are you doing* I figured he would have a few minutes chat with Oma but I grabbed the phone and we chatted for a bit--

Matter of fact---I believe that her son lives in SURPRISE--ARIZONA---so she said next time they decide to visit maybe *IF* L and I are in AZ. we could hop over to Surprise and get to meet each other--
Well tis not happening this year cus--once again I wanna feel the cold nipping at my nose--and moaning to L--*boy I am freezing*

Who knows---maybe I shall ride over to Fall River and spend the holidays with Uncle Muscles --
and the rest of my family---but mostly Uncle Walter--aka Muscles--cus I kinda think he is alone--and then walking the streets --after the holidays--to pick up peoples *junk* to *store* in the old house--
It must be pretty sad to find yourself *alone*~~~

Tomorrow going to Lynn's--next town having a big street fair and then Sunday --town of NYACK having their *fair* and I am going with my friend cross the street!!
Asked L if he wanted to go ---NO WAY-say he--ONE DAY tomorrow will be enuf!!!

He dont like chotchkee shopping!!!

Thanks for the update - sounds as though Oma couldn't be doing much better. That's great!

I hope you enjoy both trips, this weekend, but I have to agree with Mr. L - chotchkee shopping is not high on my list of favorite pastimes, either.

Thanks for the Oma updates, glad she is doing well.

DD#1 lived in Nyack and always went to the street fairs. She bought me a cute shirt with embroidered sailboats and a really nice nautical photo art print.

The house she lived in was next to or close to the fire station. It was an attic, small but very modernized with skylights, new kitchen etc. She had moved so I only saw the outside. She loves the town of Nyack.

Oma sounds like a real trooper. It would be great if you could visit her.

I'm always amazed at your ability to write, Barbara. I've never heard of "chotchkee shopping," but it sounds like fun.

I think it is hard to live alone after having lived with a spouse for many years. I worry about it myself. I'm sure your Uncle Walter would enjoy your company.
