Gluten, dairy, soy, yeast and corn free multivitamin?
I just spent a bunch of time at Market of Choice trying to find a new multivitamin now that I'm eliminating corn. I have been taking Centrum Silver which avoided my previous intolerances of gluten, dairy, soy and yeast. But it has corn starch as one of its top ingredients so I need to find a substitute.
To complicate things even further, I want to avoid multivitamins that contain lots of herbs and other supplements as some unknown supplement is apparantly what first put me into a major flare. When I cut out all the supplements, I immediately improved. I found several multivitamin brands that have eliminated most of the allergens, but they were full of all sorts of other stuff to "boost energy", help with "women's health", etc. and had many herbs, digestive enzymes, etc. added.
Have any of you found a standard multivitamin that avoids those allergens? I did a search on the Forum, but didn't pull up anything useful.

Rosie,
I've been taking Freeda Geri vitamins for the reason you mentioned. It's one less thing to worry about. I'm disappointed in the amount of calcium it has, however. I also order their vitamin D3 at the same time because I had a hard time finding any without soy.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.

Your probably going to laugh but my husband and I take those children's gummy vites. They are free of allergens and have 100% vitamin D. We only take 2 feeling that we will get the rest with food but if not you could chew 3. I've never been able to tolerate swolling pills and my husband gets an upset stomach with regular vitamins so we love these. They are a bit pricey but so much cheaper at Sam's Club!

Joan, Gloria, Maggie and Polly, thanks for your replies! Looks like Freeda Geri vitamins are the way to go for most of you. Kathy, I'll check out the children's gummy vites....I would never have thought of them.
