News on Juliettes SURGERY

U all know this is Kristyns best who is battleing cancer----and has had several operations and at this point Juliette said *enuf* but I know her mom and dad---refused to give up--and the Dr. I told U about in China---was a total mistake--the Oriental Cancer specialist said they didnt do anything differently--as had been told to her mom and dad---so the surgery was done in NYC--at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center---

They---removed one LUNG-----the cancer started to spread to her heart so they removed the COVERING (which I didnt even know this) over the heart-----they removed her diaphragm--and tissues that were starting to contaminate the lining leading up to her vocal cords!!!!

They did replace these missing parts with --as Lynn described--man made materials???
This will give Juliette several healthier years??? Yet the fact still remains--cancer cells can still crop up---but to repeat---this will give her more time!!!!

I guess I would do anything to keep my child--yet can U imagine KNOWING what the outcome is going to be?? This is one strong family---

Juliette will go back to college in January---gotta say she has SPUNK!!!!

So for this family it will be a time to keep holding on to HOPE!!

I know Kristyn cant wait to get home,from Rochester, to be with Juliette

I've never heard of some of the procedures that the doctors are doing...I'm pretty amazed. I agree that we would do anything to save our child. I hope they are able to extend her time and give her new hope.

I'm sure she and Kristyn will have a happy reunion.

hi Gloria-----I never heard of this medical stuff either----

Didnt know that we have a covering over our heart---I was totally amazed at what I heard---but new things keep coming up and hopefully Juliette will have some QUALITY time---
I believe that she has been going thru this since age 11/12--

When Kris gets home I am sure she will keep us a bit more updated---IF Juliettee wants to talk about it---the first time around---she had stuck a note into Kristyn.s school bag==saying I have cancer and I dont want to talk about it!!!
