Barbara,

Heck, we had snow on Friday. The only problem was, you had to be paying attention, or you could have completely missed it.  Little teeny-tiny flakes fell, for about 10 or 15 minutes, but I doubt that I could have made a snowball, if I had a way to capture every flake that fell in the entire county. LOL.

Snowed all day in Houston on Friday. School closed early and the kids weren't allowed to walk home. Looks treacherous, doesn't it?

We had just enough snow to build a snowman, albeit a very puny snowman.

Mary Beth,

Hey, a snowman is a snowman, and that's a pretty decent one, for Houston. I figured you had a lot more snow down there, than we did, because when it got to us, it split and sorta went around us.

Last year, on December 9th, I went to Florida to pick up a truck, and when I came back through Houston, about midnight, on the night of the 12th, there was still some snow on the ground in places, so it must have snowed there on the 11th, exactly a week later than it snowed there this year. It also snowed there on Christmas, 2004. That's three years with a December snowfall, out of the last 6 years. Prior to that, though, Houston rarely ever saw any significant snow, more frequently than about once every 10 or 15 years. Hmmmmm. That doesn't sound much like global warming, does it.

Well we got snow too in SE PA and amounted to about 3.5" and it isn't going anywhere with the cold we had. Looked gorgeous and the first snow for me is always a cookie baking day or soup on the stove - the soup of course won out and it was delicious.

Frank thought I was nuts wanting the snow. Just gets me in the Season a bit more.

Love, Maggie
