Barbara,

Well, I'm glad that you two finally got together.

Speaking of computer problems, the computer that I'm using now, had a motherboard failure, yesterday, when I booted it. It wouldn't accept any input from the keyboard, but everything else was fine. I tried a new keyboard, but that didn't make any difference. I thought it was a corrupt operating system, so I backed up all my data, and then restored the drive from an image backup that I made about a week ago. That didn't work either, so obviously the PS/2 keyboard port on the motherboard is dead. I tried a new keyboard with a USB connection, (instead of PS/2), and bingo - it worked like a charm. It's a good thing that I stock a good selection of new keyboards. LOL.

There must be some kind of motherboard epidemic going around the country.

Thanks for the update on Oma.

Luve,

I'm glad you were able to switch to a USB keyboard and get back up and running again. I'm pretty impressed that you had such a recent backup. Way to go!

Gloria,

Actually, I was just lucky on the timing. Usually, I only make a backup image about once each month, and occasionally, I skip a month, if I haven't made any significant changes, but last month, due to the fact that I was adding a few sizable Microsoft patches and upgrades to the operating system, I imaged the "C" drive twice. (I don't trust Microsoft's downloads - I've had them corrupt the operating system in the past, on more than one occasion).

I do download a backup of the database for this board, though, every week, without fail, (unless some grave calamity comes along to prevent me from doing that). And, of course, I also download an up-to-date copy of the operating code, any time any changes are made.
