An E-Mail From AtlanticAnne

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Remember AtlanticAnne? She posted somewhat regularly on the old board, but when she joined this board, she had gone back to work, full time, so she was only able to post once, I believe, and that was four and a half years ago. She was diagnosed with CC back in 1997, so that makes her one of the pioneers in dealing with this disease. She maintains remission by diet, which she apparently adopted in 2002, after joining Sally's board, (at least I believe that she was one of the early members of Sally's board).

Anyway, I had sent her an e-mail notifying her of Sally's passing, back in December, and she just now got around to checking that e-mail account, (apparently she uses another e-mail address for most of her correspondence, these days), and as she was sorting out everything in the in-box, she came across my e-mail, and responded to it.

She said that she's still working, and still short on time, and she said that she is missing being a part of the group, and she hopes that all is well with all of us, and asked if I would please pass along her hellos to everyone.

So Hello to everyone, from AtlanticAnne.

I'm trying to remember her username on the old board, but I'm not sure. I think it was annE, wasn't it? Does anyone remember?

Morning Tex,

I corresponded quite regularly with Anne from Prince Edward Island who was on the old board. Is that the Atlantic Anne you are speaking of?

Love, Maggie

Maggie,

Yes, that's her. It's good to hear that you two still stay in touch.

Love,
Tex

P. S. For anyone interested, she still has pictures posted at the "Sally's Photo Gallery" link, above, (as have many of the other original members from the old board).

I'm so happy to see this post!

AnnE was so much fun! I actually met her when my family visited PEI. She had Scott and me over for lunch. A yummy meal, with the feature dish being fresh sauteed PEI mussels that her hubby had found in the sea that morning.

Has 2 delightful kiddies and an AWESOME bathroom. No kidding! It's like a large, Victorian room - definitely something another MCer could appreciate. When we left, she presented me with a loaf of GF bread she baked just for me. Fond memories..

Tex, could you PM me her email address? We have lost touch.

Love,

Polly
