Change in Almond Dream?

I bought a new batch of Almond Dream and noticed that it's thicker and creamier. There's an ingredient called gellan gum, which I don't recall being in previous ingredient lists.

I threw out my old container and can't compare the list of ingredients. Does anyone know if this is a new ingredient?
