Update #2 on Tex
Hi All,
Just spoke with Wayne's brother, Allan, who was on his way to the hospital to visit. Another brother and sister-in-law are there visiting now.
Apparently surgery WAS necessary late last night. Allan said Tex was in the O.R. from about 11:30 PM until 4:00AM. Most of that time was spent trying to find the source of the bleeding with the scope. They ended up removing the entire colon, apparently. When Allan last saw Tex, he was out of surgery and on the ventilator, which he thought would be removed today.
I asked Allan to give Tex our love and to let him know that he has get-well messages on the Board from Australia, Hong Kong, and Holland!
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
Oh Polly, poor Tex! I sure hope that this is the end of his ordeal and that he heals from the surgery without complications.
The Forum just isn't the same without him, but we can all do our part to try and take up the slack while he recovers...........

This is just so sad. You would think he'd have built up enough Karma alone to have been spared this.
After researching what he'd described, it seemed inevitable that surgery would be necessary, as it is too dangerous to try to do any laparoscopic procedure under those circumstances. I was just hoping...
Don't imagine even this will keep him down long and am so glad he has family there with him.

I second what Shirley said - I am just so shocked by this. Wayne has been through hell when it comes to hospitals and surgeries and I just pray that everything will be all right.
He is in my prayers and in Frank's prayers.
Love, Maggie

OMG is it.
I am hoping and praying that he will now get stability back in his health
with his health issues of the past two weeks his body was definately trying to tell him something was wrong
Thanks for the regular updates.

OMG is right! My thoughts and prayers are with you Tex - I sure hope you recover quickly and are feeling more like yourself soon.
The hospital better take care of you because you have one heck of a big family to come to your rescue if they don't!!!!
Love and hugs to you,
