Does anyone quilt???

Post by Mars »

Hi gang,

I'm making a crib top quilt that I embroidered for my newest grandson and I've never quilted before! Can someone tell me this................

I have the quilt top, backing and the quilting pinned together and I am getting ready to do the quilting. Can anyone tell me where do I put the thread knot? I'm thinking that it shouldn't be where you can see it???? I know that sounds stupid but hey..................it's my first time LOL

Thanks much for your help.

PS - Larry made me a quilt rack out of PVC pipe that is slanted to work with better - I'm so excited!

Love and hugs,
Mars

Mars,

No matter the craft, we are all learners at one time. If I told you my early quilting (or sewing for that matter) stories you would be rolling around on the floor.

Good luck with your project. No matter how you feel about it, it will be loved by your family. In the quilting world they say if you can't see any mistake looking at a quilt while riding a horse by it at a gallop, it's perfect.

That's a great statement! In my case I think it will be at a fast RUN :coach:

Thanks again!

I my eyes...any item hand made with love - any percieved imperfections just make it more perfect
