Tex just called and said if all goes well he may be released tomorrow. Hallelujah!!!
His appetite has improved, and he has eaten a lot today with minimal discomfort. Oh, and guess what? The hospital chef called him to find out what in the world he could eat since he kept sending things back. Isn't that a hoot?
No oxygen since yesterday.
I know we are all relieved to learn that Tex has 3 brothers and 2 sisters (all but one live nearby) who will help take care of him when he gets home. So we can rest assured that he will be properly looked after.
He doesn't know when he will be up to posting but is really looking forward to getting back on the Board. He feels happy and lucky to be alive after his ordeal.
Love,
Polly
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
Well, I'm just !!!!!
I know the hospitals seem to release sooner now.
I sure hope he has someone to tend to him and make his meals.
We all know from experience of being in the hospital that all we want is to go home an then end up really feeling like crap after we get home. It's like the adrenaline rush to get home abruptly puts us back to reality.
I will continue on my optimistic path !!!!!!!

So glad to hear he'll be coming home and better yet, he has brothers and sisters around to look after him. Maybe he should stay with one of them until he has his strength back.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
It makes me to hear the great news about Tex. He has been through quite an ordeal, and here's hoping that his recovery continues to be uneventful. He's due for some "pampering" and hope he can relax and enjoy being taken care of for a while........

I am with Shirley on happy to start the day with good news.
So thrilled he is probably coming home and that he has the help he will need.
Been their on the chef visiting the room. Happened when I had my hysterectomy. Wondered why I kept sending back the food. Then it was potatoes at every meal - he just didn't get it.

That's WONDERFUL news! I'm relieved to know he will have help when he goes home.
I know when I was released from the hospital from surgery, I just hated to ask for help and poor Larry didn't think to ASK me if I needed anything - he just figured I would ask when I wanted/needed something! Itsn't that funny..........I'm just used to doing for myself and that isn't good when you come home and need the help! Needless to say, it wasn't a good few days following my homecoming!
