first restaurant meal since lab results

Post by bevfromwa »

I found I CAN eat out, but have a question. We went to a favorite Mexican restaurant, and found the owners were most responsive to my sensitivities, as they have many customers with similar problems. However, when I asked about the corn tortillas and the taco chips, they said there is a small amount of flour in them, so I decided I definitely better give them a miss. The owner's wife brought me a wrapper from the corn tortillas to show me, and it said "masa flour", which she took to mean wheat flour, but I think that is incorrect, masa flour is corn isn't it? Google/wikipedia seemed to confirm that, but wanted to ask the experts. Thanks, Bev

Yes, masa flour is corn flour.
So, what goodies did you eat???
I've never experimented with any of our area Mexican restaurants.
