Speaking of emoticons, ever since I switched from IE to Google Chrome for my web browser, I can only put the emoticons in here as I go. If I write a message and then try to insert an emoticon into the body of the message afterwards, it will insert it at the very end. I can't cut and paste into the body of the message either. It's some sort of glitch with Google Chrome, because IE works just fine. I like Google Chrome because it's a lot faster than IE, and since I live out in an area with no cable or DSL, I have to make do with a much slower wireless internet, and the browser makes a noticable difference.

What browser are you using? I thought you used Internet Explorer. Firefox has an orange/blue icon, but IE should be blue/yellow.
Just curious.

I take it you're not a Firefox fan - it will let you cut and paste emoticons anywhere you want. It's also faster, and much more secure than IE. I've never tried Google Chrome, so for all I know, it could certainly be faster.
I'm in the same predicament as you, on the internet service - no hopes of getting a cable out here where I live. I solved the problem by using an AT&T aircard, (with a good-sized antenna). The aircard was designed for a laptop, of course, but I located a PCMCIA adaptor designed for desktop computers. I'm in a fringe area, but with the antenna, I get pretty decent 3G service. It almost always runs around a hundred times faster than my dialup connection, for downloads.
The newer generation of "aircards" use USB connections, and I doubt that they can be used with an antenna, but if you happen to live in an area with a good, strong 3G signal, you might not need an antenna. In fact, I have a "3G Hub", that can be used as a wireless "Hotspot" for my networked computers. Most of the time, though, I only use one computer at a time, anyway, so that hub is more of a "toy", than a vital tool.
