I Hate To Bore You, But . . . .
It's snowing to beat the band here in Central Texas. Okay, I realize that doesn't mean much to those of you up north, who have been digging out from under huge record snowfalls, during the past few weeks, but in this part of the country, snows such as this are scarce as hen's teeth. Huge flakes are falling, and it's accumulating in a hurry. We'll probably get 5 to 6 inches before the day is done, which again, may not sound like much to you snow bunnies, but around here, that's more snow than we usually receive in 15 or 20 years, if you add up every flake that falls. You have to go back many decades in the records, to find a similar event.
It's been an unusual winter, hasn't it. Normally, we would be planting corn, by now.
Love,
Tex

Wow Tex,
That is a lot of snow for you and maybe a record breaker.
We had ice here last night and now it is just rain. Looking for possible big fall again on Thursday and if snow, I am hibernating at home on Friday.
Love, Maggie

Hope you are enjoying the unusual weather, Tex. Who knows, you might not see it like that again.
I know when you've had ENOUGH it ceases to be beautiful but since you rarely see it, I hope it is beautiful for you.

Morning All,
Well we are looking for that Texas snow to come up the East coast and merge with 2 other storms starting tomorrow morning. Forecast is not at 14-18" and 60 mph winds. Needless to say tomorrow and Friday could be snow days for me. Did food shopping this morning since making soup was on the agenda for Saturday. Home on Friday and if so, will make it then. Here we goooooooooooo again!

I feel like such a wimp . . . can't stand this cold weather in Texas, but then I hear about the brutal winter on the east coast and realize this isn't so bad. From what I understand, all this cold weather will provide us with phenomenal bluebonnets in April.
Barbara, I like your new photo too!

Maggie,
I'm glad you had a chance to do some shopping for supplies, because the forecast certainly doesn't look good for the NE, with all those storms getting together. That could turn into a humdinger of a storm, if it picks up enough additional moisture off the Atlantic.
Good luck, and I hope it doesn't get as bad as forecast.
Love,
Tex
