HMMMM......I have certainly gotten more information than I expected on my first post, but am extremely grateful! Thank you so much. I have lots to think about and lots to prepare for. I will certainly spend the money for the Enterolab testing (genetics panel). If I happen to have a GS/CS gene to pass on, I want to know! Whether or not the tests show GS, I plan on going GF in April. I am hoping for some relief. Luckily I have a very supportive family that watch me like hawks to make sure I don't eat anything that I am allergic to, even if it is just what I consider a "mild" reaction. I have had to change the way I cook (ingredients I use, mainly carrots) and they have handled it like champs (they LOVE carrots!!!)
Once again, thank you. I will keep you posted. I think I am at least going to look for some reading material on the basics of going GF so that I can be prepared in April. Our local grocery stores are starting to carry many GF foods, as well as a Health food store close to my house.
