THOUSANDS --here--NO POWER
Got the paper this a.m. and read that thousands thruout our county---are still without power and not Xpected to get it back till mid-week--
The hotels are making out like bandits due to the fact that these families are staying there--
Again--how *simple* I think---that New City is totally Rockland County!!!
Our friend---in the next township is still out---asked them to *come on over* but they going to their sons--in CT.---
Barbara
no mail either~~~~~

It sounds like you and Lou were pretty lucky to get your power back so soon. You must be living right.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I hope Barbara you will stay powered!! It is all due to a snow blizzard or not, so it must be very cold. If the power is off, you still have heating? And all those people there disconnect will be put on electricity by mid next week, poor them!!! This winter on a cold evening, I had an electricity power problem for about two hours (and was already complaining), but that was nothing compared what you are writing about. I discovered, without electricity I would survive a couple of days as long as I have running water, I could cook and my house is heated. Cooking and heating is gas here, but wehn you have a central heating system with a boiler that needs...electricity that is not working either. So no power, no heating.
I hope for all those people living near to you, they will be connected really really soon!!!

Hi Senior,
Weather seems to be going wild all over. If it's not snow storms it's floods or earthquakes. Hope that you don't lose your power. What a time for people to lose heating.
On earthquakes - I have 4 friends on holiday in chile at the moment. Heard fron one couple who were on the 19th story of their hotel in Santiago. Really shook them up. (no pun intended) They have no water for toilets etc. No electricity either so they got plenty of exercise going up & down those 19 flights of stairs. They were still getting aftershocks when I heard from them on Saturday. No more communication since then.
Love

Morning Barbara,
Sorry about the power outage and thought we were going to be right there with you but it held and we stayed warm. With Frank working the heat controls, actually TOO warm for me.
Looking to possible snow showers again tonight and tomorrow. I am sick and depressed from snow that I so loved before.
Love, Maggie
