OMG, visit to another forum

Post by JLH »

I got a Google alert and visited another forum to lead a poster back to the PP. While on that site, I posted three links in three different posts.

This is what I received in response to my posts by a mod, no less:

"Really, three separate posts, joan?

I know gluten is this year's "causes ever illness known to man" demon, but give us a break. We've been around our digestive systems for years, most of us have tried every diet known to man or alien, and we know if we're gluten sensitive."

 That "forum" "moderator" sounds familiar........................

You are right - there's no place like home!

Love and hugs,
Mars

Thanks, Mars, my fellow Buckeye.

:bigbighug:

And to add further insult, she wiped out my reply to her which was quite civil under the circumstances.....

The nerve of them. Yep, there is no place like home.

Definitely sounds familiar to me. Seems that "she and her partner" just disappeared but probably reappeared somewhere else.

Boy, are we lucky here.

I'm with you on that one Dee.

Wouldn't surprise me on any site considering she suffered from all the ailments in the world. Probably would never have reacted this way unless I hadn't been the brunt of some very vicious emails.

Oh well that is in the past and I refuse to live there.

well---I dont think her name was Judy----cus the only Judy I remember was Judy Malinowski(if I spelledl the last name right) and she was the one who didnt have a FORUM but did briefly post a monthly letter with Questions from poeples that had issues---
This Judy was a nurse(I believe) and thats how I met Liz---
I could be wet behind the ears but I think I know the 2 who we all REMEMBER so very well---with ailments that we were sure they didnt have-----
And I think one of them used to tell me to *FOLLOW THE THREAD* I remember her WELL----including the other asshole and I better shut my MOUTH but what the hell--this ones hubby who was ARMY--wasnt covered under hubbys medical----and was money struggeling but yet took a TAXI to the army base to get an Xam????? secondly what military doesnt cover the spouses???

so all the stories went---and again if I am off base say so=-=right now contending with family issues so perhaps thus causing me to let out rage!!!

OMG, this brings back some horrible nightmares for some of us original PP. Thank goodness those days are long-gone. And good riddance!

Barb, I remember those stories and many more. UGH! Whatever happened to their website? (remember, the wallpaper on the home page was a wheat field - they refused to believe that gluten was a problem for MCers - LOL). And both of them were always SO sick ALL of the time.

Joan, there is never any excuse for a moderator to treat someone the way you were treated. Moderators set the tone for the entire website, IMHO. As a moderator here, I have the ability to automatically delete anyone's post immediately that I feel is inappropriate in any way. In 5 years, I have only done that once, I believe. I attribute the tone of our website to the example that Tex and all of the moderators model constantly - an example that was originally set by our founder, Sally Read.

Love,

Polly

Hi Polly,

Their website had about 4 or 5 regular posters and not on a daily basis. I was registered there and did post once or twice and eventually got smacked down by them. Not sure if they knew it was me because I am sure I would not have been welcome. Only one of them with the dark hair ever really replied to people. The other blonde was dealing again with horrible family issues and poor health.

One day it just went kerplunk and was gone. What a "comfy place" joke that was.

Love, Maggie
