Well, it's officially the first day of spring. The trees are leafing, the peach trees and various other trees and shrubs are blooming, the new corn crop is emerging, and everything is getting green, here in Central Texas.
Unfortunately, somebody forgot to tell the weather, apparently, because we've got a fresh norther, blowing about 25 mph, (with gusts to around 40), and the temperature is steadily falling. We've had a lot of cold rain, but northwest of us, it's snowing.
Most of the green stuff, and the peach blooms, etc., are going to freeze tonight, and again tomorrow night, so I reckon we can forget about a peach crop again this year.
I'm pretty sure that the real spring will eventually arrive - I'm just not sure when it's going to happen.
Love,
Tex
