INFO about Kait's interview in the paper!!!!!amazing

Post by barbaranoela »

So thru one persons disability interview( being (Kait) has started a chain of phone calls to the person who did Kait's story--

-asking if Lynn would agree to meet with some -- or if Lynn would be receptive to their calls -cus they have kids that have similar problems that Kait goes thru---and no way have they been so well informed as reading the story in the paper---
I have always said(even thou Lynn can be a pain in the butt) that Lynn could probably perform the surgery herself---being how educated she got to be --asking Questions---wanting to KNOW XACTLY what was happening---knowing the terminology for all procedures--Xplaining it simply to me --

I could go on and on but most of U have been with me thru all of Kaits surgeries which totaled 70!!!!! yes--and thats not including the new stuff that has been installed---
So from an article the gates have opened for other parents who DIDNT know what--wherelse--nor understand all the procedures that can be attained for their child---and thus giving them a LIFE!!!

And to Kait---she is ready to *offer* Xplanations of all that she has been thru--
She said to me---*well Grams,I have a purpose in life*------
yup---the tears rolled down my cheeks---

Your post made my day, Sis. How wonderful that Kait and her family are able to share their story to help others. In the long run, Kait may be able to impact the lives of others much better than those who do not suffer from disabilities. And how inspiring that she is ready and willing to help in this way. What a lovely human being she is.

70 surgeries! Absolutely incredible. And I know that you have suffered mightily through each and every one of them. Congrats to your entire family on not only surviving this ordeal but on making lemonade out of lemons. :flyingdoveleft:

Lots of love,

Polly

Barbara,

That's awesome news. This may open a lot of doors for a lot of kids who have been stuck behind closed doors all their lives, without even realizing that there might be a life waiting for them, on the other side of those doors. Good for Lynn, and good for Kait - her attitude is priceless. And yes, her remark brought tears to my eyes, too.

What a wonderful post, Barbara. I pray that many people will be helped, and Kait really is a hero... all of you are.

Dear Barbara,

As one of the ones who has been with you since the beginning of this terrible ordeal, I am JUMPING for joy!!

I guess there is a silver lining in this long-lived black cloud around you and your family. Kait is a Hero as Ant said and she has really struggled to find purpose and happiness in her life.

I like Tex got very misty eyed when I read your post. I hope that she is an inspiration to those kids and their families and they will be able to push through the barriers in their way.

I am so, so happy for all of you.

Love, Maggie

I read the interview on line. She is so pretty! Love her hair. I hope good things will come for Kait and other kids with disabilities.

Great news Barb. This will allow kids with problems like Kait's and their families to be a support to each other just as we 'Potty People' support each other with information & empathy.

Lotsa love

Liz
