Golden Wedding

Post by Liz »

We had a wonderful day last Sunday at our 50th anniversary celebration although I was a cot case & couldn't walk by the end & it has taken me most of the week to recover. Just not doing as I am told & doing too much.

The family did a wonderful job, even the kids worked really hard to make our day a happy one. We had lots of friends, some from way way back & other relatively new like only 10 - 30 years.

Only one of my sisters could come due to the ill health of the others. It was amazing, we had bad weather with strong winds for about 3 days prior & then on Sunday the sun shone & the winds dropped. Just as the last guest was leaving it started to rain again. Must have done something right somewhere.

I forgot to take a photo of the cake that I made but here is one of us cutting it.

Anisha got a new outfit for the occasion. She looked really beautiful & charmed everybody.

I didn't get many photos with my camera but am waiting on some from others.

Liz,

:happyanniversary: Congratulations to you and Robert, and thanks for sharing.

That was really something, for the weather to cooperate, that well.

I hope you have many more happy anniversaries, and you share them with us.

Love,
Wayne

Thank you

Thank you everyone. We did have a great day with our friends although it took me a few days to get over it all.

Not to mention my cats. They were traumatized. The house full of family was bad enough for them but Suzi brought ger dog Grace down with her & then all of these other people turned up. They are not used to such crowds & went unto hiding for a couple of days. It was all just too much for them after the snake episode.

They soon got over it though & are back to normal.
