I have not had any D since the weekend of my big birthday party on March 6 and that I’m sure was due to the stress of 50 people coming to our house for my birthday.
I received word Thursday that my 56 year old niece in Wisconsin died from colon cancer and I am flying to Wisconsin on Monday and will return Friday. I have two daughters there and will divide my time between the two homes. I need to e-mail the older one and ask her to pick up chicken breasts, rice milk, rice cereal, and bananas for me. I don’t have a problem with meals here at home but things will be different there. I am taking brown rice along and plan to cook that when I get there just so I don’t get hungry and eat something I shouldn’t. I am also taking small amounts of a few other staples.
What concerns me somewhat is my sister died from colon cancer in 1992 and now one of my nieces dies from it also. I often wonder what the future holds for me. I have not made the followup appointment with the GI after the colonoscopy on February 8th because I am doing so well and don’t want to hear any more wrong information from him.
Wishing everyone a Happy Easter.
