less than ideal

Post by Gabes-Apg »

Hi everyone

Had a fabbo weekend away. Meal out on Sat night was totally awesome (japanese teppanyaki so i could supervise the chef) restaurant are very good about the GF concept, the waitress confirmed for me that the sauces were safe.

my downfall was the treat of sorbet afterwards.. i did ask the girl serving if it was gluten free
so eating the sorbet by the beach under the stars was fine, then the grumbles started and the need for the toilet occurred within 30 mins. given i was away (with TK) and we wanted to go the beach the next day i took loperamide. I was fine Sunday and Monday.

all was fine till I had a bad night with D Tuesday night, so i had wednesday off work due to fatigue, with rest and lots of gooey rice and steamed chicken, I felt good last night had clothes ready to go to work today. Woke up at 3am with D, killer headache, aches and pains all over. i took some headache tablets went back to bed. It is now 8.30am, i still have headache, sore throat and feel like crap (pun intended!

was wondering with our unique immune systems, does the D start when the immunity is starting to be attacked?

My first suspicion would be the sauces - not the sorbet. I can't eat Japanese food at all and wouldn't trust a waitress with anything.

This attack sounds pretty extreme, as a result of one meal, so maybe you are actually sick with a virus?

Gabes,

I agree with Connie's suggestion that you have probably caught a virus of some kind. You shouldn't have a sore throat with an MC reaction. You probably have fever, also, don't you?

Whatever it is, I hope it doesn't last long.

Gabes hope you get better soon.

Unless I am mistaken a lot of Japanese food tends to be marinated in soya...... just wondering...

Love, ant
