the CELEBRATION of JULIETTES LIFE

Post by barbaranoela »

and this is Xactly what is was----of course we all shed our tears but once we approached Marie and Sal--greeting people --with HAPPY smiles and chatting away --their *peacefulness* just rolled into all of us---and when Lou and I approached them--Marie and Sal smiled ---and Sal said to us---*we did have fun sitting together and watching the girls in their swim meets~~~yelling and cheering them on---
IF I ramble off track --U will still learn about Juliettte--and her amazing family

This is awesome---the funeral parlor was once someones magnificent colonial house--so this gave one the warmth one needs--instead of the dreaded funeral houses--with the clanking metal chairs etc.---and the *shushing* --The word went out that Juliette wanted everybody to be dressed in their most colorful clothes--NOTHING dreary!!! Can U imagine this young lady~~~~~she wanted us all to *celebrate* her life~~~
There were *collages* hanging every which way one turned---the kids---family--etc. got them all together--when she was a baby---playing in the snow--growing up--starting high school etc.--
And of course the ones made by the high school kids really brought tears to your eyes---
Kristyn did a great job--cus these 2 were cut-ups~~
Of course Jules had already been cremated ---but there stood this magnificent urn--which I think we all knew her spirit was smiling away-
As Kristyn is---Jules was getting ready to being indoctrinated into her college soriety-- so the girls from her college arrived at Jules house(2 dayz before she floated away) to indoctrinate her~~~~ and they told Marie that she wasnt allowed to be present during this procedure so Marie stepped outta the room--while Jules was welcomed into the soriety-
Marie did say she *heard* some sorta wailing sounds--and we had to laugh at that---doesnt this also tell U about the glow that Jules shared with everyone~~
Jules also told Marie---*mom when U go thru my stuff--and find things-pleases DONT think less of me!!* and of course Marie said she just smiles---
Then Jules also added---*mom, when U go thur my diary -please dont think less of me when U read some of the stuff I wrote---cus those times I wasnt at my very best!!!
Lou and I didnt stay all day cus Kait was making a scene--in pain--wanting to go home--so Lou and I drove her home and her mouth just ranted the short trip ---to be honest I wanted to smack her in the face and tell Kait to *shut-up*---U see -in all these years I have never seen nor heard her mouth-go on as it did then--(in this horrid manner) usually--at home---she is always in her room---but this showed me that KAIT will never function in this world--
Anyway---after Marie and Sal got home---they got on their *BIKES* and rode---feeling the wind and no doubt feeling Jules with them~~~~
Easter Sunday after we left---Marie called Lynn--and they went for a long walk---and to top it off--Marie asked if Lynn got her the book that they were to read at their reading club---
Would any of U be thinking of the BOOK CLUB (which is always at Lynn's)~~~~~
There is so much more---but I think I got the most words that will fill U all with the beautiful images of this family~~and the courage----that carried them thru this loss~~~~
The saying on the back of Jules memorial card is something that she wrote--a while back--but that will be for another time---and it will reveal to all--the kind of young lady Jules was and still is~~~~

Thank U for reading this---it makes me feel that Jules is helping me word her life as all should know of her~~

Barbara

PS. Just to add----Sal works for the firedept--in NYC---so U can imagine how they showed up and also a BAGPIPER!!! That alone-----makes me sob like a baby~~~~
the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control

Thank you for sharing your memories with your always beautiful prose. Jules sounds like a terrific girl.

My niece died of cancer at age 20...it's been 20 years and my brother still misses her. It's so difficult to understand why they leave us at such a young age, but I believe they are in a better place. My blessings on you, Kristin and Jules family.

Morning Barbara,

So happy to hear that it was a celebration of her life and not the usual "downer" event. They way you write your feeling has me right there with you.

May she always be by Krystin Side.

Love, Maggie

Hello Barbara, I have only followed the jules story on the side line and don't know very well all the details. I have great admiration for you and all other beloved ones around this magnificent girl. You wrote a wonderful post about her. I wish strength and wisdom to deal with her loss.
