He's definitely one of the "good" doctors, for addressing food intolerances. He seems to stay up with the latest cutting edge thinking. If my memory is correct, his wife is a celiac - at least I think that's correct.

Her Lipase was a bit elevated 763, adult reference range 77-695 U/L. Hemoglobin 20.9 (12.1-20.3g/dL) and Hematocrit 62.0 (36-60%).

Acorns are interesting. Cattle and domestic goats tend to lose weight if they eat very many acorns, because of the tannic acid, I suppose, but wild hogs and deer, and squirrels, as you say, get fat on them, and deer and wild hogs at least, prefer them over any other food, in the fall, when they are fresh off the trees.
Have you still got acorns on the ground this time of year? I would have thought they would have rotted by now.
I'm OK now. I suppose I'll try a pill tonight, before bedtime. My doc says that they tend to cause a dry cough, so I'm anxious to see how bad the side effects are going to be. I'm not a big fan of dry coughs.
My doc is way up in his 70s, and he says he has been taking BP meds virtually all his adult life, because hypertension runs in his family. He mentioned that he maintains his BP around 100 to 108, tops.

She seems just fine. I hope she doesn't have any problems from the antibiotic. Vet said no probiotics.
Why can't she be healthy like our other pets were? I feel like I have another child. We laughingly call the dog our grandchild because we don't have any reals ones.

Sorry, this was supposed to be in a new thread.
It's been close to two years since I went GF, CF, and SF. I still have gut(?) noises, not the awful gurgling but weird sounds I can't explain. Maybe air?
I think I have been doing better since I stopped the Pravachol but I know that isn't going to last. Doc will be upset and still try to put me on the darn Lopid. I feel like everything in my life is contraindicated.
