Let's Try To Set Up A Round-The-World Chat

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Let's try to set up a chat for a time that's more convenient for members in some of the parts of the world who haven't been able to participate in previous chats, due to the timing.

Let's plan on 6 pm Eastern Daylight time, 5 pm Central Daylight time, 3 pm Pacific Daylight Time on Saturday, which should be 11 pm in Scotland, (on Saturday night), and it would already be 8 am on Sunday morning, in Brisbane, Australia. This would be 6 am Sunday Morning, in Hong Kong, (if my math is correct - which is not a very good fit, obviously).

Gabes, I don't have any idea how early you get up on Sunday. If this is too early, maybe Angy would be willing to schedule it for an hour later. (I miscalculated the time in Scotland, in my previous post about this - I missed the time by 2 hours). :sigh:

Thanks,
Tex

OK, Ant, if we were to schedule it an hour later, (at 7am Sunday morning in Hong Kong), would that make a difference, or are you like me? (I'm not a morning person.)

Dear Tex

I am having a weekend on one of Hong Kong's "outer" islands and am not sure how reliable the internet connection is. Also, I will be having a supper with friends on Saturday night (yup Gabes Aussie Shiraz will feature!) so I am also not sure how reliable I will be either. Suggest you schedule for whatever is best for others.

Thanks, Ant

Well, lets try to do it at the time listed in the first post in this thread, then: 6 pm Eastern Daylight time, 5 pm Central Daylight time, 3 pm Pacific Daylight Time on Saturday, which should be 11 pm in Scotland, (on Saturday night), and it would already be 8 am on Sunday morning, in Brisbane, Australia.

Hopefully, we'll have enough participation that the chat will last a while, so that if someone happens to be late, we'll still be there.
