Steriod Injections?

I was wondering if anyone has taken steriod injections for MC. If so what did you take how often and how'd you feel?

Before starting on Entocort I was given an injection of prednisone it made me feel a bit off and a little dizzy; that only lasted a few hours, then settled down. It did help the belly pain and I was glad about a week later when the 9mg of Entocort started really helping.

only 3mg. i dunno why but he wants to do that for 3 months. Did i mention this is his first MC case? lol Thank you for that. its my honor

Olivia I had asked my GI if I should start at 3mg or 6, he stated that the studies clearly show (including the manufacturer recommends) that you start with 9mg for 1 - 2 months then taper down to 3mg.

Print out the literature at this weblink and give it to him (although he may not like that)

You did clearly state how you felt, but with that said we all have our bad days including Izzy. I would not be too hard on her, life can be quite challenging to all of us from time to time. Sometimes our frustrations just come out the wrong way.

You're very right Joe. i hope i wasn't too harsh. it felt like a defensive instinct. i felt it was attack on the people i care about. because all of you have been there for me and are a special family to me. I guess that was the protective Marine thing.
