I can honestly say i dont think i would be coping 'with life' this well if it wasnt for the wonderful amazing people on this site and being part of a family. I havent had close family in my life for over 20 years.
I suppose my attitude flourishes when i am posting on MCthreads as I feel comfortable, relaxed, at home and 'safe' I can be me!
you mentioned in your other post about stress pre june 30 - i thought all of north america was a December year end.

you all flatter me! I can say that before i met all of you i was like a lost lil puppy. i was angry because i didn't have any answers. i felt lost. All of you fill a huge whole in my life. I am truly happy and blessed that i have met all of you. you all make me feel so much better with your sweet comments and you let me know i'm not alone or going crazy when i have those bad days!
On another note my hubby is taking me on a Date friday night! we havent been on one since I got back from Afghan in 09. I'm very excited! We are going to go to dinner and a movie. I either wanna see Nightmare on Elm street or Robin Hood. So its nice to have something to look forward too. Saturday my cali mom/sponsor Miss Kelly and I are going to a cake decorating class on base at the hobby shop. I love to bake even if i can't eat most of the stuff i make. My husband's Marines call me Deserts. lol they love coming over for my deserts lol. Tonight i've already been here 12 hrs at work but it wasnt nearly as bad as yesterday. Tonight has gone by pretty fast actually! But Will (hubby) got off work an hour ago so i'd like to get home to him. Tomorrow is Thursday which is really my Friday so yeaahhhh weekend almost here!

as i was off yesterday i got hammered big time as soon as i walked in today. I am ony now (4.5 hours after i had arrived) doing 'gabe stuff' sending the dilbert etc
Headaches are all gone, still have a bit of D (went very close to an accident today when there was intense discussion in my office and i had to 'run out' to the toilet, damn engineers)

i am 65% through the challenge.... just have to get two more signatures and i have a comprehensive data pack to support our final Product base line ready to go to CoA (equiv of DoD)
if i dont get the signatures today... I will have to fly to Canberra next tuesday to deliver the pack.

Good luck with that Gabes. I think most of my days are governed by Gantt charts and Power-Point presentations. As a joke a few of us started sending our emails in Power-Point format.. Deadlines are so much fun
Russel Crowe is sooo YUMMY! i know i wanna see robin hood just because of him and Will knows it lol! How are you doing today Gabes? I'm so excited for my weekend. Tonight will be a long night but my 3 day weekend will be worth it! gabes we are like sisters from another Mother! I am pretty excited about the cake decorating class. I've never used Fondant frosting so i'm interesting in seeing how they do that. I haven't successfully made a gluten free cake either my feeble attemps wouldn't rise in the oven and weren't edible. lol But i can make everything else. Hows work treating you?

today i went to see beneath hill 60 - it is an aussie made film about world war 1 - when they recruited miners from the aussie mines to be tunnellers to get under the front line in France and Belgium
as it is an aussie film (low budget) it wasnt action packed, but the story was amazing. My grandfather was on the front line in France ( and was a POW) so I am very interested in fact based depections of ww1
aside from that i am just being nice to my body.. rest.
Oh and i got the contract coordinator job! with current employer. So i am now doing all the admin coordination for the Acquisition Contract (46 helos and support systems) and sustainment contract (7 years TLS support)

That's a truly well deserved promotion! Anyone that can put up with and manage a bunch of engineers also deserves a medal... LOL
That film sounds like a good one. Is that a new release or has it been around a while? Sometimes we get lost in the action and special effects, but a good and well told story is what we will really remember in the long run.
My grandfather was also in France but in WWII in the town of Jardin Fontaine outside of Verdun during the war; he was a surgeon and was killed by a German artillery shell while in a makeshift foxhole hospital.. Interesting story: He left Germany as a boy to get away from the problems in Germany, and after coming to the States, he went to medical school - became a surgeon. After the war started, he felt obligated to go help, only to be killed by the Germans... Talk about a strange circle of events.
Gabes I meant to ask you earlier - I am looking to go GF this coming week, you had mentioned putting together meals snacks etc on the weekend which sounds like a good plan. I can definitely understand the fatigue issue during the week. Do you have a few favorite recipes or snack ideas? I am already DF, I just need to work on the gluten.
