Xcitment for Lou--

Post by barbaranoela »

Lou tried to take a tour of the base he was stationed in but they dont do that anymore--he would have had to have a special letter from who knows---
So he was a bit dissappointed---but yet was Xcited to see at a distance the base-
OCEANIA NAVAL AIR STATION~~too bad we couldnt get to see the ship--MIDWAY--thats what he was hopping for also
We then went on a tour of all the planes---and there was the one he flew in--xcitment galore---and all the planes were amazing--plus the RED BARON-wow!!

It surely is didfferent seeing a plane nose to nose and all the parts--including the stories that went with each one---
So that put a smile on his face----

WE bought a few things for Doug---and naturally I bough a heavy blue sweat shirt saying *wife of a Navy Man!!!!
CHEST stood out whilst I paradred around wearing it~~~and it was so xciting for me to see all the gals that are serving our great country too~~~~

It was a combined visit----Lou's *other home* for 4 years and our friends--

so good night all-----sleep tight and dont let the bed bugs bite--

Olivia he was told that they did walking tours but appears that has stopped---but he was happy just to see where he was stationed---and I *know* him telling us more of the planes---well not much more than the guy who took us around---was a thrill----
tell U--seeing them waaaaaaaay up in the air and then seeing them grouded is more than I could have ever imagned---incluidng what they were invovled in~~~

It was well worth the week away---we shared times with our Irish friends---)who are 2 of the nuttiest folks I know-- --and just enjoyed the time away from home--

Remember when the kids were little we were able to drive thru Camp Lejune.. where hubby did basic training. There were drills going on.. he had to stop the car and watch:)
