In my research to find out if I could take L-glutamine with LDN, though I found nothing on that, I did learn some other interesting things, about LDN like:
LDN works for restless Leg Syndrome ( which I suffered from a lot in my younger years until I started taking calcium with magnesium. )
It has been used to suppress carbohydrate cravings ( so does L-glutamine , BYW)
It can be bought from a pharmacy in India in 50 mg tablets without a prescription and then people dissolve one tablet in a 50 cc bottle of distilled water and take their dosage that way. This is way cheaper than buying it here.
It actually used to be called "antibuse".. remember that drug that came out a few years ago that made alcoholics sick if they drank? apparently on the Low dose version you can drink a little but just not within a few hours of taking the LDN. Not a problem for me as I virtually never drink alcohol .. dislike wine and beer and Kahluah and milk, my favouriite alcoholic drink , is now off-limits.)
As far as how my personal experiences are going, I find now that my body is used to it, I sleep like a log. If I am awakened within the first 3 or 4 hours after I have taken it and gone to bed, I am quite groggy.
Yesterday I made that long trip for work again that I did the first day I took the LDN, but this time I did not have to take an immodium or pepto, so by this I can say I see improvement. Another interesting observation I have made is that my bowel seems to be slowing down, relaxing. That is the only way I can describe what I am sensing. It is a subtle change, but I don't have that "must immediately rush to the toilet upon waking up in the morning and go back there many times within the first hour" stuff and I actually have to sit there a while and encourage things to happen occasionally. Sense of urgency is diminishing. Do you guys have a name for those little ragged pufflets that fall to the bottom of the toilet and just sit there? Well, that is what I am getting sometimes. Hey, I'll take it.. it is sure a lot better than "peeing through my bum", as I call my normal condition.
I finally got my Enterolab tests sent yesterday. It was funny because I really did feel like I was smuggling "toxic waste" across the border but it only cost me $35.00 to ship with Fed ex instead of $90.00 as was reported from Toronto. Getting those sent is a big weight off my mind. Such a lot of money "down the toilet " if I didn't do it right! Now I just have to sit back and wait for the results. I sure hope I did do it right.
Tex, I ended up taking the sample before I started the LDN, but not before I went a week without the oils. My vitamin tests came up OK, with no deficiencies so I know I am absorbing fairly well. So if the oils skew the fat absorption part of the test , and it says I have malabsorption issues, I am not going to worry about it too much. I froze it until I could ship on a Monday or Tuesday.

Yep, you're a perfectionist, all right.Linda wrote:Getting those sent is a big weight off my mind. Such a lot of money "down the toilet " if I didn't do it right! Now I just have to sit back and wait for the results. I sure hope I did do it right.
All in all, your LDN treatment appears to be on course, and seems very promising. I would interpret a decrease in urgency as a definite sign of decreased inflammation.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
