Notice the FDA's advice in the article:
“Health-care professionals should consider whether a lower dose or shorter duration of therapy would adequately treat the patient’s condition,” said Joyce Korvick, deputy director for safety in the FDA’s Gastroenterology Products division, in a statement today.
Yep, don't stop using these drugs, just cut down on 'em a little, so that you only weaken your bones, but fall short of actually breaking them. :roll:

I really had nasty side effects with just about every ppi my dr tried

I've been taking Nexium for about 3 months and it's been good for me. No side effects to speak of. Hopefully once I find out my food intollerances I can even stop taking that. Wouldn't that be nice? :smile: I've been hearing on the news about the bad effects of this drug long term so now that I'm informed I will be cautious. Thanks.
