Consistency is slightly improved and continues to improve everyday, especially when I stay away from foods that I could be sensitive to. (still waiting for Entero lab results and "observing" reactions to different foods.)
Blood pressure still good without other meds. I am a little uncertain about the whole thyroid medication thing though. I have found some information in my research that says there is no clinical evidence that LDN actually affects thyroid functioning so am questioning my decision to stop taking the thyroid meds. It also said that sometimes people get an elevated heart rate, especially in the mornings, their body's reaction to increased endorphines, (and I experience this) and that this is what people think is a "hyperthyroid " reaction. Yet, the LDN.org web site specifically states that it improves functioning and that you MAY need to lower the thyroid meds, and to start off at 1.5 mg because of this. I guess "may " is the operative word... I thought I was starting to feel a little hypo the other day (had very heavy feeling in body and was very tired) but have felt fine since. I started taking a 1/2 of my normal old dosage again yesterday after reading about the heart rate thing. ( split the difference
I am scheduled to see my doctor again on June 7th although may try to get in sooner to try allow enough time to get my prescription filled before I run out. I do want to continue, and may try to increase the dosage after 1 month. For me, according to body weight, I should not need any more than 3 mg.
All in all, I am happy with the slow and steady improvement in my condition with LDN. It is an interesting drug.
Cheers,
Linda
