Harma at least in the US about 30,000 + die each year of the "annual" flu; the victims of are usually made up unfortunately of either the very young or those of advanced years that have pre-existing conditions that making them very susceptible to viral infection, and then the oppotunistic bacterial infections that overwhelm the system.
The differences from one strain to another are usually what parts of the body they seem to have an affinity for.
The H1N1 was a bit more aggressive in the lungs of young healthy people as compared to the annual flu. This caused problems with fluid collection in the lungs resulting in respiratory failure. The H1N1 was never the pandemic that all of the authorities were waving the flag at.

ha ha ha this cracks me up
in australia there was HUGE push for flu vaccine this year and that it included H1n1 vaccine, the government PUSHED it with a really hard sell,
the reason was that the stockpiled stocks of the H1n1 for the so called epidemic that was going to cause castatrophic health issues (cough cough according to big pharma) well the stocks were going out of date!!
there is no heightened levels of swine flu anywhere in the world at the moment, more people have serious health issues with normal flu than swine flu.
funny enough - some young children started to have reactions to the vaccine (one died and if it was the vaccine is yet to be confirmed) so all the articles came out in the media that people didnt need the h1n1 vaccine blah blah - it was all funnier than the main ring at the circus!
i have my stocks of tamiflu (treatment for h1n1) that i obtained prior to my travels last year and i will take it with me on the trip next week, i work on the theory if i get it then i will treat it. until then, my focus is on keeping my immunity strong and my body healthy. there have been lots of people with tummy bugs and colds and flus at work. Touch wood i have been good so far..... and watch out on the plane... if someone near me is even sniffling i will be drowning them in eucaluptus oil! i dont want their germs

Joe,
Dr. Briffa mentioned those allegations in his newsletter this week, but I hadn't had a chance to read them, yet. I looked up the CDC estimated total deaths due to the H1N1 strain, from April, 2009, to April 2010, and the CDC lists an estimated range from ~8,870 to ~18,300 total deaths. One would think that such an esteemed body of scientists could pin the number down to a somewhat tighter range.
(Which number do you think is likely to be the closest to the actual count?)
Obviously, this is significantly less than the approximately 30,000 minimum average number of total deaths due to annual flu in the U. S., that you mentioned above. This pretty well blows away the WHO's claim that it was, indeed, a valid pandemic.
It's pretty clear that the people in charge of world health are simply opportunistic mercenaries, "hired" to make it easier for Big Pharma to plunder the world. So what else is new.
The scary part is, if the "medical experts" at the top, are simply tools of Big Pharma, what does that imply about all the others, giving us medical advice, all the way down the line?

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Gabes exactly the same here, it was called Mexican flu here, was huge. There was not enough vaccine for everybody, everybody was "fighting" with each other if there were important enough to be called risk group (old young, chronically ill, pregnant) and which group was more vital for society than others (because we would all get ill in the same week, on the same day. 50% of the working people would be home at the same time with the flu). Health care takers could get a vaccination, but policemen, the fire department needed it too, because they were vital for society too. Almost every company made an emergency plan, because the whole country would go down. Of course nothing happened.
Actually when everybody could get their injection, another media boom started, how bad was the vaccination, could small children die of it etc.
the Dutch government ended up with to many vaccines in stock, no idea what to do with it. There was only one winner, the pharmaceutical industry. They made a good profit!!
