Checking in from the west coast...

Post by CAMary »

Hello all-

Thought of you all as I checked out this fabulous new place near me... http://www.migletsgf.com/
I even got my 14 y.o. to come with and he *loved* the cupcake he sampled :o) Pretty good since he is hard to impress!

We are in the process of renovating our master bathroom - so we are a 1-potty household for the foreseeable future...as an MCer I'm sure you can relate to how that makes me uneasy!

Feeling generally well - think I had a touch of food poisoning last week - came on suddenly and puked my guts out - either that or a nasty flu bug...

Docs never found the cause of my tachycardia episode...I was given a monitor, but was unable to get any reading, as it never happened again. I had an echo, which was normal, as were 2 separate EKGs. I noticed my BP was a bit elevated (for me - reading was normal, but I usually run low...) so *I'm* attributing it to stress, and moving on.... Bloodwork was also fine...

I'm due for a colonoscopy which I'm definitely not looking forward to - but ready to bite the bullet - I think I'll call Monday to schedule. I also have my annual oncologist visit next month - and expect that to be boring and routine... Sometimes managing health stuff feels like a full-time job :o)

Had to take my middle son to consult w/a specialist @ Stanford due to something the pediatrician saw at his recent physical. Fortunately my gut instinct was right (specialist said nothing to worry about!) so I didn't stress too much - I've tried to make stress management a priority...as nothing is more precious than good health!

I hope everyone who is struggling finds hope and inspiration from this board! I think of my friends here often and wish everyone good health and happy tummies!

Be well,

Mary

CA Mary!

Great to hear from you. Sounds as if you are quite busy and that all is going well. Good luck with the colonoscopy - I had one last week. It's much easier now with the Miralax cleanout than the previous ones. Also, have an uneventful oncology visit.

Love,

Polly

Great to hear from you and I surely hope all the Dr. visits are "boring and routine". Glad your son had no major problem AND that you didn't stress out too much.

Hi Mary,

So happy to see your post and I second Shirley's wish - that all dr. visits are boring and routine. Been a long hard struggle for you but it seems that you are doing much better now. I am also one who is trying my utmost to not have stress. It is a struggle buch can be done.

Love, Maggie

P.S. - Good luck on the colonoscopy.
