Today, we pressure washed the front of the house and the very long porch attached to the front. We repainted all the wicker furniture from the porch, repainted the rails on the porch and water treated the wood floor on the porch. It took 10 hours to complete. I'm whooped! Too tired to post much else so it's off to bed with me. Night PP.

Kim's mold update
Well they came in and removed the mold under my house. They found 'black' mold! They contained the area's affected, tore up the floors and removed it. It's now drying out and will take 3-4 days. Then another contractor will come in and finish ripping out the floor which includes the joist's, subfloor and floor. Then another contractor will come in and rebuild it. THEN ANOTHER contractor will come in and finish my flooring. It must be 'Open House' here or something. In the meantime, I've had to move out of my bedroom and sleep in the guest room with hubby in a full size bed (I miss my King size in my bedroom). The positives in this experience is 1)Removing a potentially dangerous mold and 2) I get new floors
Home owners insurance is covering all but the deductable. We were VERY lucky.

Joe: It is a bit crazy. I thought our teenage boy would love having us in the main living room with him at night instead of in our livingroom/bedroom....NOT! LOL Teenagers
Shirley: I'll let you all know in a few weeks how it all turns out.
Thanks.

Thanks Gabes. My body is hanging in there. Joints are terrible today but 10 hours of working outside yesterday surely are adding discomfort. As for my mold and my house...this is just a bump in the road and then we will continue to cruise the highway of life until the next bump. It was a bit of a surprise at first but I've accepted it and realize it's just life.
Thanks.
Thanks.

What a mess, and disruption to your life. But it has to be done, and in the end your house will be in much better shape. I hope the reconstruction moves along in a timely manner!

Kim, I'm so sorry your mold problem has turned out to be such an ordeal. I lived through a remodeling project on our home that made us a little crazy. I hope getting rid of the mold will also contribute to the betterment of your health.
