ready for my trip

Post by harma »

So almost 8 in the evening here, two full suitcases in front op my, will have my dinner in few minutes and than straight to bed. Tomorrow my alarm clock will ring at about 5.30 and around 7 I hope to be in the train to the airport in Amsterdam.

I am going on a three month journey to Jordan. It's a dream coming thru, I have been wanting this for almost two years. Thanks for the MC I am going one year later. But also with MC it will be possible to live there. I found a small apartment for the first two weeks (so I can cook). For the rest of my stay I am going to rent an apartment.

Traveling time all together will be 12 hours, from door to door. I have small cups of apple sauce, banana's, canned mackerel and of course rice cakes. Got a letter from my doctor model "gabes". I have a three month supply gf,sf,df,yf,eg multi vitamin and calcium tablets and vit d drops. Budenofalk for over 4 months. And a diet card for going for diner, model "ant". So I am well prepared.

I will be going from 18 degrees with a little sun and mostly cloudy and rain, to over 30 degrees and sun sun sun. Really looking forward to that.

For me this trip is important and a huge step, I will try and find out, if I want to live there for longer time, if they allow me to work there and if so I could find a job there, or maybe study (if they have english programs). I call this an exploring mission. If out works out well, I probably going to sell my house here in NL and go there permanent. But for now all options are open.

I hope my next message board will be with another IP flag.

I keep you all informed.

MC certainly changes how we approach things that used to be simple

Best wishes in your travels and new location.

Wow - you're taking a big step, that's for sure! I hope the travel goes well and that you are able to adjust to the heat(!) and the new living quarters. It sounds like you have prepared yourself both mentally and physically. I'm glad you are able to make your dream come true.

Will be anxious to read about your progress.

Dear Harma, I admire your courage in making such a life changing step. It sounds like a great adventure. Have you lived in Jordan before or is this a new experience? I'm curious how you chose this as a place you want to live. Good luck in all you're doing and I look forward to hearing about your new home and what foods you will find there. JoAnn

Hooray for you, Harma!!! I remember reading somewhere on here about this dream of yours to live there and a bit of the history behind it. Wow! I am so glad for you ( and in awe of your courage and moxie) to go for what you truly want in life.

All the best wishes for you for the trip and your new life :coach:
You are an inspiration!!!

Morning Harma,

I am so proud of you for trying to follow your dream. I do hope everything works out and that you make it a reality. Please keep updates coming as I am one who might have to relocate out of the country and am wondering how it works out for you.

Love, Maggie

I arrived and internet is working, 12 hours from door to door. I got up this morning at 4.30 so I am very tired. Evertyhing went very well, including with food no problems at all at customs. Place is nice, but for sure will need a couple of days to adjust and settle is. Normal things but especially food wise.

For now I will take a shower and go to bed, so tired.

I'm glad that the trip went so smoothly.

Yep, that's the flag of Jordan, all right.

I hope you can get a good night's rest. We'll "see" you tomorrow.

Harma

fantastic news, one major stress gone, the transit and being able to have your foods with you.

The flag as part of your tag is very exciting, i can take a screen grab image of it if you like so you can keep it!

i am very very happy and excited for you that you are embracing your dream.
