Just wanted to let you know that starting Thursday, I am off for vacation at the Outer Banks with our extended family from the UK (10 of them including our 3 grandchildren) and will not be back on the board until 9/29/10.

Graduation Party
Which was really a Party for Frank the proud dad of the Grad!!!
He was totally bombed---and funny---at one point he stood up and said to all*I wish all my friends could have been here but they couldnt come!!!
Food was great---desserts were making me drool--and when most of the peoples had gone---and the night was hovering over-- Frank threw logs into his outdoor fireplace and it was awesome---
Of course the singing start ---and I figured soon the PO-LICE would be rounding the corner saying *Party time over*
So Lou and I headed home--which was just a few steps cross the street--and Frank Yells--SAFE HOME and CALL us when U get there--
Agood time was had by all~~~

Have a wonderful vacation! I know how important family is to you and how rarely you see them, so I know you are going to savor every minute. And, the birding should be good - has the fall migratory action started yet?

Polly - first signs of migration are underway and I have also heard more Owl action in the early mornings lately.
Vacation is going to be a bit of a challenge but a joy at the same time. 2 1/2 years is a long time between visits with your family and grandchildren (especially them.). Theme nights for food and decor are abounding and we will have a blast.
Well give everyone a full report when we get back but me thinks too little time for birding. Next year is just Frank, me and the birds.
