Barbara

i think we could convert the world that Gluten free is not all that bad via these biscuits/cakes
Joe likes them sooo much he has organised his local health food store to stock them!

the GF option has one flavour - we will have to organise for your DH louis to try the 'real thing' that will blow his mind for sure

I believe that there is a special distribution of Tim Tams (the real ones) in the USA each year in January and February
I will dig out the article and post it

I cant have the devine treat as i cant tolerate soy

but it has warmed my heart to hear the reaction of yourself and Louis

Joe,

It's getting better - the temps are running around 10 degrees cooler than they were a few weeks ago. Probably in a couple of weeks, it would be safe to ship them.

When I first read Barbara's post, I thought that maybe you had found a better use for them.

Thanks,
Tex

Nope, Gabes made sure there was enough of a supply for both you and Barbara. As Gabes mentioned I have gotten my local HF store to stock these... That could be trouble for my waistline

Quick, someone please enlighten me!! What is this Tim Tam yall
are talking about?

Is it a chocolate cake mix? I guess I've missed the main discussion
about it. Is it GF, DF, SF, and EF?

Thanks in advance,

Tanya

Tanya

a tim tam is an aussie icon - it is a devine chocolate biscuit - 2 small rectangle biscuits with chocolate cream in the middle and coated in chocolate
it is the food you have when a)you are having a girls night with a romantic comedy, b) you are having a hormanal bad day c) you keep a pack in the pantry and use them if friends drop in c) take along to a picnic etc

early years there was just plain but now there are varying flavours and styles (caramel, white chocolate, double coat etc)
some of the adverts for them are fantastic (google youtube timtam ads)

because of their iconic popularity, Leda a brand that makes GF/DF products made a GF/DF equivalent

when tex was recovering from his medical adventures earlier in the year, he was sent an aussie care package that had these biscuits in them
and while joe was recently in Australia I introduced him to these, and he took some of the real ones back for his neighbours who had cared for nurse nestle

the genie adverts are funny, the ultimate wish granted from a genie is a never ending packet of tim tams

and this one is quite good

I think we should sponsor a true scientific study on the effect of the Tim Tam on MC

I need some volunteers, any takers...

OK, I want some Tim Tams too! Where can I get them in the U.S.? Funny ad, Gabes. Some regular grocery stores now have international sections - maybe they would be in the Aussie or UK section? Joe, did you find them in Whole Foods? (I have one nearby).

The gluten free variety Joe will have brought you is called Choculence.

They have an on-line shop. Which means you can also try the Rum Balls - which are seriously yummy.

If anyone tries it let us know how you go. Note that a lot of the products contain soy. The page above has a nurtition link for each product which tells you what is in it.
