A call from Fernando~~~ gotta read

in 1995 when I got my first computer--Louie was fiddleing around and discovered this room full of people chatting--which was called ALAMAK---

Naturally he called me to take a look and sure enuf Peopletalking and laughing-- Alamak contained about 20/more different named rooms---and I spoted a room called NEW USERS so I hopped in with the name SITOS leave off the last S-spell backwards and U get OTIS--company L worked for---
I watched for a bit until someone greeted me---from that point it became an everyday thing----
Needless to say I met some terrific friends-making small talk about our lives telling jokes and as we became more familar with each other--as here-we became a family-

4 of us were totally in sinc with each other--
Ted---teacher from Virginia
Joan and her hubby Stu(who didnt chat)
Fernando from Spain --
Joan and I were like Liz(from here) it was like we were sisters-we could read each others thoughts and Joan would call me up to hear me say-SHUT-UP --cus to her my Noo YAWK AXENT cracked her up---I would say what AXENT-- then she would ask me to say shut up--and I would--laughing hysterically Joan would say *U say SHUDD Up---heck no say I---when I call myself up I dont hear any aXent!!!
We spent four summers at their house (week) and Ted joined us also--
Sadly Joan and Stu joined within 2 years of each other--cancer-
Ted has been to my place and Deb's---
Ted has spent a week in AZ. with us meeting Doug
AND now FERNANDO--some might remember that he came to NY--stayed with his friend Jose(worked for U.N.) and toured the city of NOOYAWK--we took him Empire State building--Statute of Liberty and so forth-
He spent few days with us--had Easter dinner with us up at Lynn's and met my mom--
Douglas thought we were NUTZ--*what do U know from a chat room* but Doug we have spoken over the phone many times he is delightful!!
Doug--I am calling U up every day --say I *why U think he is going to chop us up? Doug didnt laugh~~~~
Well today Fernando called me upto send me good wishes for tomorrow---
Imagine 15 years of friendships made thru a computer~~

And I heard from my Twinee Liz--still having her ups and downs--fell again--Robert is *ok*--they had a loss in the family---and as usual doctoring continues--she is one hell-of-a lady!!!!
Had to keep U up on all this--thought it would be fun~~

You seem to be an unusually good judge of character. You look past their faces, and all the way into their hearts. And you can do it without even thinking about it.

I feel as though I know Fernando, after reading what you've written about him, over the years. And since he has your stamp of approval, I wouldn't hesitate to trust him either.

The world is full of good people. Unfortunately, though, when we encounter a stranger, we've been trained, ("brain-washed"), to be apprehensive, because the news reporters are only interested in sensational stories about the bad ones.
