Now I am in for REMODELING--UFF HOUSE not ME

Post by barbaranoela »

U all read how we have a younger bunch that bought the folks homes that moved----
WELL---Frank and Scotty have redone their entire houses~~~
and I mean REDONE--incredible talented guys~~
Sooooooooooo---they pranced over here--and I am now going to have a new bathroom done---stall shower--new floor--moving the window---and whatever else they can get their fingers on they will---

I said *nooooooooooooo* but naturally overruled :hissyfit:

Scotty was over this morning and checked stuff over--patted me on the head and said *BABS--ya gunner luve it*
So I hugged the toilet bowl(naturally covered) and said *sorry, but U will be leaving us!!! now L and I have to go and start choosing tiles and etc.

I did want some remodeling waaaaaaaaaay back but other issues took its place-

This should be the least of my groaning~~

Good day all

Barbara, I can relate.......... my DH has been at me for a yr to remodel our bathroom that is 25 yrs old. Well, he finally has gotten his way. I'm the money person in my family and all I see is $'s going out the window! AND to think I want to retire! We have painted all last week and now at least I will be at work while the rest of the "damage" is being done. It is very tiring choosing cabinets, tile, countertops.............and still have faucets and light fixtures to go.

Keep smiling and laughing as you do so well!! Love, Ginny

Ginny-----thats the issue 2---U see something that is *IT* --than U walk around the bend and *wow* THIS is it--

Then we argue bout a floor--small tiles --big tiles  Wall paper or tile--so after Frank--Scotty me and Lou had coffee I said---*surprise me*---
They all looked at me--*really?*--yup this is Mr. Louie's desire so lay it all on him-----and he can deal with it!!
--after all MY larger bathroom will be MINE!!! AND dont even THINK of what I THINK U R THINKING!!!!

This shall be interesting!!!

I remember when I first joined the board, my husband decided to remodel the bathroom (one and only in the house) and had run out to buy more supplies. I came home to a bathroom without a toilet :yikes: , floor or anything!!!! I was right in the middle of a serious flare too! I rushed home from wherever I was with an emergency need to use the bathroom and :yikes:

I ran to both neighbors who were not home - :yikes: again! I ended up grabbing his 5 gallon bucket, dumping his tools and grabbed the TP :emptytoiletpaperroll: and ran to the bedroom (where the shades were drawn) and proceeded to :poopbanana: do my business ! Guess that showed him!

It's funny now but it wasn't then! LOL

Love,
Mars

Barbara/Mars.............you two are a hoot!

Barbara, my DH and I do not agree on anything when it comes to this stuff (we are both Virgos)! We painted a 12 X 22 bedroom with 14ft cathedral ceilings and got along so well it scared me! Then we went to the bathroom and he wants to buy the first things he sees; me I'm a contemplator and look at everything twice! He is out wheeling and dealing as I type..................I hope I have some money left over when this is done! Ginny

HI Mars,

I remember that incident well when you posted it. Since we were remodeling at the time, I totally understood. However, out of the entire house they kept the 1 toilet working.

CONGRATS! on the new bathroom Barbara.

Love, Maggie
