Day 12 Entocort -I think?

Post by hoosier1 »

My friends,

Knock on wood, but I have been having some Normans lately! I don't want to get too excited yet but I definitely feel better. I have religiously been GF, DF, and SF for 7 days too. Still waiting on Enterlab test results but thought it was better safe than sorry to start eating correctly.

Since I am traveling again, I am being extra careful. On the flight from detroit to phoenix, I had a chicken salad and gave my breadsticks and brownie to the grateful man next to me. And for the last couple nights, I have eaten at Outback from their Gluten free menu. Which also has excellent gluten free deserts. So far, so good. And the mind fog is clearing too.

In the club rooms in the airports I eat carrots dipped in gluten free hummus. Yum!! And it agreed with me.

So I am learning how to travel, eat correctly, take it easy stress wise, and satisfy my customers. That is all I asked for. Lialda is next on my drug list. Doc gave me some samples but since the neuro side effects seem to be waning (who knows, it could have been the gluten), I am planning to stay on Entocort a little longer.

So can you believe it???? I can't. But what a nice way to force oneself to eat the way we all should really be eating.

Love to hear from all you you!

Regards,

Rich
P.S. Would like to meet any and all of you in person if I am ever in your neck of the woods. Outback gluten free menu - my treat!!!

Rich,

That's great news. I hope that things continue to go your way.

Thanks so much Tex,

Means a lot coming form you. I was nervous to post this progress thinking that tomorrow could be a bad day. But I really think the diet is the driving factor in my improvement. I would have never known that had it not been for this board.

I will keep everyone apprised of my progress and food experiments, especially as they wean mean (some day) from Entocort.

So for now, I guess I will just enjoy the good days that the Lord brings me.

My gosh, Robbie,

You have me choked up. Thank you so much for your concern. Like I said, I am nervous about my progress. I think people are starting to see that I am a "glass is half empty" type person.

But it is so encouraging to hear comments from people like you! I hope and pray you find the relief you deserve to Robbie.

Keep me apprised on your progress please!

And thanks so, so , so , so much. And hold on tight when I come back whining during a relapse :)

:manynanas: Rich, I am so releived to hear of your improvement! I was really worried about you with those neural problems and how awful you were feeling. Wow, it is amazing that you are experiencing Normans.. that is actually quite quick!

Good luck with the traveling and i hope your improvment just keeps continuing.

Linda dear,

Thank you so much for your giddy thank you note!!!!!!! I can really feel the endorphins firing from all of this support. There must be a correlation to wellness from all of this positive energy, and I used to be the doubting Thomas.

It is so nice to hear from you, and all of my other friends. Healing is so much more peaceful when one knows he or she is not alone.

So thanks again, dear, your support goes beyond words.

Regards,

Rich

Wow Rich,

What great news!! I so excited for you. I'm still waiting on a visit
from Norman. It's been 10 or 11 weeks since my last visit.

Keep up the diet, that's so important.

Rich, there is always a rainbow! :cheerleader: It is amazing how much better we can think when we feel better. Great news! Keep the diet going; it's not so bad after all. Will keep on praying for you! Ginny

Hi Rich, that's great news that the Entocort is kicking in. Patience is the hard part when we are not feeling well. I hope that thew trend continues

Happy to hear of your success. I would watch the raw carrots. They may be hard to digest.
P.S. Would like to meet any and all of you in person if I am ever in your neck of the woods. Outback gluten free menu - my treat!!!

You flew from Detroit to Phoenix. I am 30 minutes from Phoenix airport. Would consider meeting at an Outback when you are in town again.

Fantastic news, Rich! There's nothing like seeing a Norman after months, sometimes years of D. You are on the right track!

Thanks for sharing the good news!
