Good news!! Longing no more

Post by Linda in BC »

I started Entocort last Thursday and today (Sunday) had a visit from my long lost friend Norman!!

So far, so good, and no side effects. I am hopeful. Having done the diet thing for the last 4 months and ferreted out oh so many food intolerances already (tho I realize probably not all) I am hoping that I will have relatively smooth sailing from here on in.

BTW, thanks to all of you for your support, encouragement in my frustration, and sooo much excellent information over these last 4 months. You are all angels.
Hugs, Linda

(sheesh.. this sounds like an acceptance speech for my "Norman" award  )

Way to go, Linda!!!

Joan - The statue would probably look like our logo figure - a PP sitting on the toilet. LOL!

Love,

Polly

Great new Linda!

I agree with Joe that sticking to the diet along with the Entocort is very important. Waiting for the day of the Norman Award - glad you received it.

Love, Maggie

That's a good idea, Polly. Probably better than just a toilet.

Dear Linda, Congrats!

Dear Polly, gold toilets are all the rage in Hong Kong (at least for those that can afford them!!).

Of course I would settle for one of those Japanese ones that focus on the comfort and cleanliness rather than the bling and glitz

Congrats Linda, I fought taking Entocort also but ended up having no other choice. It worked for me by the 2nd day. Hope your success continues.

Oh, yes, I certainly do intend to stick with the diet , too. What I meant was that hopefully no more hidden intolerances will surface to set me back again, after an initial good response, as happens with some people. I think I already went through that with the Low Dose Naltrexone. By the way, the LDN did help me, it just didn't seem to be strong enough, though to be accurate I never got up to the full 4.5 mg dosage, just up to 3 mg. But for anyone who can't take Entocort, I would recommend trying the LDN. I sure do miss the wonderful sleeps it brought! If anyone wants to no more about it, just ask me.

Thanks again.. had another "normal" morning here. So much so that if I keep on this trajectory, I fear I could be constipated in a day or two. Any hints on whether I should look at cutting back my dosage to two a day, if that happens?

Hi Linda,

Congrats! And yes, you may have to experiment with cutting the Entocort back to 2 per day, or 2 every other day, if C seems to be a problem.

Linda, that is terrific. Entocort can give you peace of mind as well as a Norman. Diet and Entocort work well together and stay on it long enough to make sure. I got off it after only using it for two months thinking I would be okay, but in six weeks I had a major relapse and I believe my other intolerances kicked in. I have now been on it for another 6 months but I am about to take the jump again. Just keep refining your diet. The real difference for me was when I realized that histamines/Mast cell issues were kicking in big time. Changes again, but they are working. Ginny

ANT!

Hi Ant! :antemoticon: :ant: :ant:

Good for Tex for finding you some emoticon ants!

HAHAHAHAHA, a pure gold toilet. When I went to that you-tube clip, a bunch of others with toilet themes popped up. One was a restaurant where you eat your meal out of a miniature toilet. What is this with Hong Kong and potties? Is there a lot of MC, or do they just appreciate bathroom humor?

Thanks for a good laugh.

Love,

Polly
