Slightly anxious

Post by starfire »

Today is the day for my left eye cataract removal and lens implant. I have been looking forward to getting this done and am very hopeful about seeing better but I do admit I'm a little bit anxious this morning.

Morning Shirley,

Good luck to you today and it is understandable that you would be anxious. The worst patient in the world I knew of was Frank's mother and she was thrilled she had it done. Hope that helps and the best to you today.

Good luck Shirley!

My hubby has had both eyes done and never had any complications.....or any pain.

Love,

Polly

Shirley, I also have had both eyes done and now can see without glasses except for real close up work. The surgery is quick and the colors you will see again!!

Wishing you the best! Ginny

Back home, all went well. BP got up there but I didn't feel all that tense. Must have been though.
No pain - almost no discomfort at all.
Eye is super-dialated so vision isn't real clear but Dr. said it would flucuate for a few days.

Sor far so good.

Thanks to everyone for the "good thoughts & vibes".

I look forward to the day when my cataracts are large enough to operate on so I don't need to wear contacts. Best wishes to you.

Glad to hear it all went well, and you are on your way to seeing beautiful colours again, Shirley! Still in time for fall where you live, I hope.

Thanks Everyone........

Charlotte, If your vision is degrading at all due to cataracts, you don't need to wait for them to "mature" as they used to say. Double check with your Dr. if you feel you are ready. My Sister's husband had them done as soon as he was diagnosed and he was fortunate enough to be a candidate for the new
multi-focal lenses and no longer needs glasses for anything.

Linda, I love your picture with your horse and dog. Where I am right now (Florida) there is no fall. At least nothing I can identify as fall. HaHa It has cooled down to low 80's. Soon I will be returning permanently to northern Pa. but by the time I get there all the "color" will be long gone. I can look forward to next year though, and I do.

I had my "next day checkup" this AM and should be able to proceed with the right eye on the 27th of this month.

Shirley, at my eye dr appt this summer my doctor said they are still too small. I will keep asking though because I know they are doing the surgery earlier than they used to do it.
