Biggest cahnge in toilet paper in 100 years

Since we all use so much TP we may want to consider this new product to reduce waste.

Hope they all change the process. Do recycle the used tube but wish more did.

Well, if people are even half as green as they claim to be, that change should sweep the industry within the first year. We'll see, I suppose.

One of the things that has always bugged me is the fact that the last paper towel on a roll is unusable for drying my hands, or similar purposes. There's so much glue on it, that when it combines with the water, my hands get so slick and slimy that I have to start over and rewash them.

Thanks,
Tex

I recycle the tube also, Maggie. It will be interesting to see how they have accomplished this. It keeps coming to mind that, so often, by "fixing" one problem they often create another.

I recycle the tube too. Hey, Tex, should we do a poll?

No, Granny, it will probably go up because it is :green"

Please feel free to set up a poll anytime you feel that one would be beneficial. If you set one up, I'll make it "sticky", so that it stays at the top of the page, and after a few weeks I'll add it to the "Polls" forum.

I'll bet you're right about the cost. Enough people are willing to pay more for "green" products, that manufacturers tend to automatically factor that into their pricing calculations, (but maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised, this time. )

I kinda suspected that - that's why I didn't start a poll, myself.

The automated toilets, if you get the right ones, require no TP at all :) Some not only clean you , but dry you.

I look it at like buying a Toyota Prius though. It seems like that payoff is immediate, but you really have to run the numbers because they are a little pricey. Plus, no one really considers the harm that is done to the environment in generating the Lithium Ion battery pack, or when it is finally disposed. They simply drive and think they are green, when in reality, they are far from it.

I am not anti green... however, I am sick and tired of things being sold for outrageous prices that aren't really "green" or get to be labeled green (with an increase in price) because of some loophole in "the rules".

Look at solar panels.. great idea.. but chances are you will have to replace them about the time you would be slated to start breaking even on having them installed... not to mention the roof that will have to be replaced under the panels.

Guess I am fed up with what I consider to be fake global warming. When I was in school I remember reading in Scholastic Magazine about global cooling! Wondered if we would be frozen to extinction before I was old enough to have children and grandchildren...

As my hubby always says.... follow the money.. if there is a bundle to be made someone will try to force stuff on you... and the flim flam artists just pile on for the ride...

Remember when Sheryl Crow said that in order to protect the environment that we should all start using only one square of toilet paper per visit to the bathroom? Haven't heard much from her lately...

I'll bet she never used one square either.
