Findings of my CT Scan

Post by randyh »

One thing they found during my latest (June) ct scan with full contrast was the my pancreas was slightly atrophy, is this something I should worry about, I do worry about it since I have general anxiety disorder so I thought I would ask. From what I have read, my LC could be the cause of that. I did allot of drinking for about 4 years and that is what the GP attributed it to. He said it was nothing to worry about.

Yes, alcohol can cause pancreatic atrophy, and stress can also be a contributing factor. And, you are correct, some of us do have pancreatic issues, associated with MC. Usually, the problem goes away, after we get our MC symptoms under control, and our gut heals.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
