What a creative treatment! I'll have to pass that on to my family and try it myself, JoAnn

JoAnn, if your students thought your gargling was hilarious, imagine if you had used the netty pot in front of them!

Linda, I'm afraid that sight would traumatize them for life and I can only imagine what they'd tell their parents

(Have you used one? I do love my neti-pot!)

No, I've never used one but I understand the process and know many people who swear by them. It is just one of my least favourite sensations (inhaling liquid up my nose! )

I use a neti pot, too. I practically had to tie my sister down to get her to try it, and now she swears by it. I also introduced her to ear candles when she was about to go out of her mind from the pain from an earache induced by a chiropractic treatment (it worked very well for her - immediate relief). We keep them on hand, just in case we are ever that desperate again, even though they are kinda scary.
