Entocort Question

For anyone who has been on it, is the dosage usually 9mg. 0r 3 3mg. pills a day. And also is it best to take all before breakfast

The only dosage I have seen is 3 mg capsules... and I started on three a day. The doctor said I could take them all at once or space them out though the day. He said I would have to figure out what would work for me. He wasn't aware that there was any difference taking them all at once or spacing them out. He has been very supportive of me using the information I found on this site.. as is my family doctor.. they are the only two doctors I have run across who had no problem with my experimenting in how to best get CC under control.

Took me several years to get down to two pills a day.. then to one.

I take all three Entocort pills at breakfast.

Not knowing how well I would absorb the entocort.. I figured if I spaced the dosage... there was more chance I would keep some of it in my system all of the time. It also made it easier when I tried to lower the dosage.. I would miss a pill once in awhile.. and if nothing got worse.. I would go another day minus that one pill. It was trial and error down to one pill a day.
