I am thankful for....all of YOU!

Post by Polly »

Good morning!

Getting ready to head to the beach (3 1/2 hours away) to spend Thanksgiving with my mother-in-law. We're driving, so at least we can avoid those airport "pat-downs". LOL.

I hope each and every one of you has a happy and food-safe Thanksgiving. And thanks for being here for me - you all helped tremendously during my recent flare. I haven't been here as much as I'd like recently. I have taken on some additional clinical duties, which are keeping me busier than ever. As soon as 2 more pediatricians are hired, I'll have more time again. Can't wait. But I do lurk every day and keep up with everyone.

:welcome: to the newbies!

Love,

Polly

Polly,

Needless to say, we're so very thankful for you, too, of course. Without your valuable experience and insight, we would be lost, much of the time. Your compassion, open-mindedness, and understanding, backed up by a medical background, and more knowledge about MC than few GI docs can even hope to match, make you a brightly shining star in the otherwise gloomy world of MC.

I hope your trip is fun and relaxing, (well, as relaxing as visiting one's mother-in-law can be).

Happy Thanksgiving, dear friend.

Love,
Tex

Well, it's late here in Utah and we've been blasted with a winter blizzard. It's 3 degrees outside with snow and ice-more like Jan. or Feb. I just finished the green beans with bacon and my gf/df pumpkin pie. I'm going to whip up some coconut milk with vanilla and sugar for topping. I made rolls all day for neighbors and family (the kind I can't eat anymore, but know others enjoy). All day I've thought about all of you and how thankful I am for all of you. I've also imagined you in your kitchens making your "special" dishes so you can have a safe day tomorrow. I haven't been able to post much lately, but want to welcome all the newbies and let them know they have found the greatest place in the world to find hope and remission. The loving support system here is family as many others have mentioned. I would love to have a Thanksgiving dinner with all of you around my table to share the love I have for each of you. Thank you for getting me through the hard times and sharing the good times. I wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving, Love JoAnn

Happy Thanksgiving MC Buddies!

We are having a quiet day today, which is what I need. I've been starting to feel the stress of the season and need to step back and get in balance. For 15 years we have spent Thanksgiving with a very special friend and she was unable to make it this year, so while I am a bit blue about that, I am grateful that I can relax more than usual. However, things will heat up this evening when we watch the Aggies kick TUs butt . . . Gig 'em!!

Have a wonderful holiday!
